  • Mission Statement

    Anyone with an interest in riddling is welcome. 1) Be respectful of others in the group wall. (We'd love it if you respected others outside the wall as well, however.) 2) No LFG or Spam of any kind in the group wall, unless specified by an admin (There should be an LFG post of some sort in the private section of this group's forum. If not, it's coming soon.) 3) We are here for riddling, so try to keep the chat as focused as possible on riddling-related conversation. If the chat is dead, meaningless chatter is okay, just don't clutter the chat with non-riddling things if someone is seeking feedback or the like. 4) If you aren't sure that a riddle will be well-received or you think the riddle may be faulty for whatever reason, ask me (Cadence) or an admin to review it (we have a rep to uphold, can't be shoveling out faulty riddles). I promise we won't guess, and if someone does, I'll kick them myself.

Riddle of an Unseen Message (Solved and Explained)

Hey guys. This is the riddle I promised for today, and it is harder than yesterday's. You better not first-guess this one. Good luck... I am your greatest memories, but I am not. When have you seen me, you may ask. All the time is my answer. For my will is not my own. I give my user infinite vision of the battlefield, yet I keep it alive at the same time. But I am not alone. My brothers, my countless brothers make my masters forces not to be reckoned with. Brute forces. One day, I shall smash thou into next week. I shall stalk thy prey and let loose thy talons upon thy enemies. And thou shall witness thy true strength, hidden inside me. Hint 1: The sands of blood await you, Guardian. Face me, and try to destroy me, but YOU CAN'T. Perhaps I am the reason my master doesn't like to expose his brain. Who/What am I? Winner: ihunt Answer: [spoiler]The Camera on a Phalanx's Shield[/spoiler] Explanation: [spoiler]I am your greatest memories: You use a camera to take pictures of memories, but not the camera a Phalanx wields. My will is not my own: A Phalanx controls its shield and the camera on it. I give... At the same time: A phalanx uses its camera to see the battlefield, and its shield protects it. My brothers: There are many phalanxes in the wild, which means there are many shields in the wild. I shall smash: Sometimes phalanxes can smash Guardians into space with their shield lunge. And thou... Inside me: The camera on the shield is the reason the phalanx uses it. Sands of blood: Mars, where Cabal are. Perhaps I am the reason: Without the camera, the phalanx would have to expose its head to engage targets. Hope that clears things up.
