I agree, 31s are weaker, no doubt about it. I wasn't looking to raid hard with my 31, I was asked to, otherwise I wouldn't have done it. I would love to be 32, but raid rng doesn't play nice with me for any of my characters. So now I feel left out, my groups want 32, and I don't care enough to raid with randoms, so I just play crucible instead. When 33 hits, I will collect the weapons. Already have one...
I will still solo abyss and get mats/first drop in hopes that I get armor that I need.

You keep on doing that then you'll be there soon. Instead of soloing the hard raid lets I'd advise you to do normal raid tho that way you can get unwanted armor to break it down for more shards.i haven't seen any armor drop from hard mode so I don't think it does correct me if wrong,but if true you'll be better off getting armor and shards. It'll come tho buddy and people won't be able to even tell the difference that you was a 31

I see what you're saying. Much better chance of armor in normal since the hard loot is not in the table.
