Break Up and Keep Playing or ... NEED ADVICE
So my girlfriend gets pissed when I come home from work and play until I gotta go to work the next morning... So I don't sleep anymore at all, I really don't wanna miss out on any Loot, so I spend all my hours spare grinding Phogoth strike over and over... But I need advice she seems pretty pissed lately and acting as if I must choose between her and work or Destiny! It's pretty selfish of her IMO. I don't know if to break up with my girlfriend or give up playing for a few months....
Please reply with some advice fellow Guardians!

Dude.. take a break, loot is still going to be there the next day. You shouldn't lose sleep, a job or a GF over Destiny.

Real life people do deserve more time and attention. And it sounds like you are either playing or working. Sleeping, working, giving attention I your girlfriend, and having fun are all this that you should be able to balance. So I think you should neither break up with her nor stop playing all together. You should be able to balance everything out so you are happy while playing, you are getting enough sleep, she is happy with the amount of attention she gets, and you make enough money to sustain the needs of life. But what do I know, I'm only 15

1 ReplyDon't think you love her or this wouldn't be an issue. I'm a single parent, two kids, work full time and have a perfect balance with life and Destiny. Love the game but love my kids more. But if something went wrong or I met someone I loved, the game would definitely take a back seat. My suggestion, let her go to someone who'll give her the time and attention she needs :)

If you break up with her, you'll get to play more Destiny. If you play more Destiny, you'll grind it out to the repetitive boredom and want to spend time with your girl. I'd suggest a balance. You may have to spend more time with her at first, but going all 1 or the other wouldn't be the best in my not so humble opinions...

I'd say you should limit your playtime. I know the game is addicting, but it's not good to play so much your better half won't be able to communicate with you at all. How many hours do you play each day? If it's more than 5, i guess a reality check would be a thing, not to be mean though. Also, in 6 months, you might tire of the game, you think you'll tire of your gf by then?
