Prepare yourself for the noobs sniping in ROC strikes with the icebreakers because they have it.
This isn't a nightfall. You don't have to stand on the rocks. The ones that are on the top of the area where the 3 waves of [b]vex[/b] spawn on the Archon Priest [b]strike[/b] when you're opening the door near the beginning. I understand you're JUST NOW getting an icebreaker, but please.. Just don't.
[spoiler]EDIT: Apparently this post was unclear to a few. I don't care if you have icebreaker, I don't care if you bought it, I don't care if you use it. However I do care if you sit at the back of the map sniping off goblins, getting essentially no kills leaving me to do 90% of the work. That's leeching off of me, and is not a play style. I think the icebreaker is great, and I use it for a few things.. But this isn't a nightfall. You're not going to die instantly, and you don't have to stand on that diagonal rock at the back of the 3 wave area on the Archon Priest strike about 1000 meters away, or whatever it is doing nothing for anyone.

EDIT 6: Now that this thread has gone on for a few days and it has played out to my amusement, I will inform everyone that this does slightly bother me, but it doesn't matter to me all that much and I felt like getting a rise out of some people. We always have 1 person with a sniper up on that rock to deal with bothersome adds. Mainly the vandal snipers and other annoying creatures. Don't really get why that's an issue.

This isn't North Korea. People can play the game however they want. If you feel so strongly about this, just ignore the team and do the strike alone. No one here has any right to determine how other people play the game. There wouldn't be sniper rifles if weren't supposed to snipe. There wouldn't be rocket launchers if we weren't meNt to blow shit up. I'm serious here, these kind of players, the ones posting these topics, are seriously sick in the head with their sheer lack of understanding. My two year old niece demands I do things her way, but surely the OP of this post isnt a two year old girl? This is a game, not a way of life. People can do as they please, so please, grow up and stop being so ignorant.

Strikes are a good way to practise with a weapon.

I nearly alway do that and I usually have the money at kills and take down the yellows. I keep an eye on the left for the hobgoblins and I keep an eye on the hydras. Totally valid play style. #dontbeadick

The only Roc strike I use nightfall tactics on is the nexus. It's just the fastest way to do it.

Haha I always love seeing people using the cheese hiding spots for a normal strike. We don't need to hide outside the shrieker room for Phogoth or snipe from those rocks for Aksor.

This happens every week. Whatever weapon xur sells, people use nonstop. Remember when he sold that POS no land beyond? People were struggling with that thing. Give it a week or two things will get back to normal

In which case sitting in the sniper perch with a sniper rifle that has MAX range where enemies below will just sit there and take hits without attacking seems to be the smartest approach. You could also be happy for them and climb up on the sniper perch with them, whip out your IceBreaker (assuming you own one), and show the new guy how to use it while at the same time not pitching a fit cause a fellow Guardian is so excited about his/her new gun that they just cannot wait to use it. Remember how excited YOU felt the first time you got a particular weapon after days, weeks, or months of running content over and over because RNGesus refused to bless you? Imagine how all these IceBreaker newbies feel right now. FINALLY Xür has answered their prayers to RNGesus. For them it's like Christmas all over again. I bet you work for Bungie.. Basically what you are saying is.. "You're not playing the game how I think you should play it. Stop playing it that way and play it my way... which is the right way." TL;DR Shut up and stop trying to ruin everyone else's fun.
