Yep for sure. In fact I was a Suros noob myself until on a whim I started using it on adds while defending the left conflux at the Oracle cp on VoG. I noticed I was just tearing through enemies faster than the Suros thanks to walls + volatile light. I'm pretty sure it has the highest dps in the game for primaries when you're shooting something with an object behind it from medium range on in.
