* Find travller on mars * traveller amkes golden age * speaker destroys traveller and blames it on darkness * at the same time some aliens receive abusive emails from someone called Teh Sp34k3r and take their revenge on humanity by squatting in ttheir broken-ass cities * everyone freaks out and vendors set up shop trying to prepare guardians to face the darkness * you are revived by dinklebot, one of the speakers minions, and told to spend your glimmer on weapons to fight this darkness you never really meet * Speaker rakes in revenue because he ultimately rules the tower, growing richer whilst you kill these aliens to get the glimmer and then spend the glimmer to get better gear to kill more aliens. * Xur creates new economy to overthrow the Speaker's tyranny but can only visit every so often because the Speaker blackmails him with footage of Xur making out with phogoth.
