Not useless. They make good shards. Games like Destiny require as many leveling/grinding wheels as possible in order to keep players playing, therefore any system that automatically puts your weapons to max level without grinding is stupid. You have to work for upgrades, not have them spoon fed to you.

Truth, but I think what they want is for all the weapons to be relevant so that they won't fall behind the weapon cap, still grind to level them up, make sacrifices for energies, at least I think that's what they meant haha
