They go to orbit and go to lfg and join a group at crota, or switch to a new character with the checkpoint. You're probably going to use that info for evil but who cares everyone else is apparently

Oh I thought there was some kind of cheese for it, that's something I wouldn't bother to do since the fight is hard but it's not that bad
