I know that there are actual theories and beliefs that we are all(or, more correctly, one or a handful of us) just an intelligence and everything else is a projection in a dream state. This argument that I have used in no way represents my views or beliefs.

And even if I don't exist in the real world and your just dreaming (or something) I would still exist in ur subconscious. No matter what, I have to exist to be doing wat I am doing right now and (if the dream thing may be true(it isn't)) to be in ur subconscious.

7 RepliesI don't. But by not existing I must exist- in the Least existential manner, by speaking to you I prove that I, in fact exist. By conceptualizing whether or not I exist, I have proven through the dislocation of self that at least in a conceptual way, I do indeed exist. Unfortunately, my friend, having read this post has further verified my existence. Because had I not existed this very post would not have been made, nor would you have read it. In a basic manner, I exist because I choose to, and am verified in my existence by your existence.

But you can't prove we don't exist. Your premise is indefensible. Let teachers and philosophers brood over questions of reality and illusion. I know this: if life is an illusion, then I am no less an illusion, and being thus, the illusion is real to me. Thank you for calling Oculus Rift customer service.
