Stop using the argument "I think, therefore I am." argument. It does not present facts.

I know that there are actual theories and beliefs that we are all(or, more correctly, one or a handful of us) just an intelligence and everything else is a projection in a dream state. This argument that I have used in no way represents my views or beliefs.

I exist because if you think of me then I already exist in the form of I have been mentioned so therefore I do exist because you are reading this statement by me. Even if I don't phisically exist, I now exist in the confines of your mind.

2 RepliesEverything around me is what I perceive to be real. This includes the environment around me, you and I. This also includes this comment and yours. These all theoretically exist in my theoretical self. But since this is perceived by me, I cannot. But I can assure you that if I do not exist neither do you, making this challenge invalid and irrelevant. But in my mind I do exist, as does this comment. Nothing can be truly proven to be real because we are all biased by our own mind's perceptions.

1 ReplyI have consciousness. Therefore, I exist. Anyone else, I can't prove. But the fact is that if I have the sentience which I do, it is impossible for me to not exist. Yes, if I happen to [i]be[/i] a computer program (matrix style being [i]in[/i] a computer program is different), I still exist. In some state, I exist, because I have consciousness. That is the fact. I can decide to comment on this pointless thread, and that means that I exist. However, assuming we live in the world we believe we live in, one where everyone exists, I cannot prove to you that I exist. You cannot prove to me that [i]you[/i] exist. But, whether you be a bored teenager or a figment of my imagination, trust me, I exist.

1 ReplyI could ask the same thing to you, could you prove to me? Perhaps you could provide a more in-depth and mature response then others, there is virtually no way you could prove to me. To me, you could be fake, and vice versa for you. So I think, the real answer to any question, no matter how cosmic, is "who the hell cares?"
