I personally have not done this yet, but I will say this: If they start banning people for cheesing Crota, then f*ck Bungie, and f*ck Activision. I am so sick of all the f*cking hoops they are making people jump through who did not get everything done in the first week or two of launch for this damn game. You want to beat the VoG flawlessly? Good f*cking luck - even if you can manage to find a team that can do it, you have the mountain of f*cking glitches to deal with [b]STILL[/b], not to mention all the lovely error codes [b]THAT WE STILL GET 3 MONTHS AFTER LAUNCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!![/b] What's that? You managed to get through everything, and now you are at Atheon, with no one dying, only to have 1 dude get pulled into Venus with an invincible Praetorian and the relic continually dropping out of his hand? Or better yet, when he runs through the gate he is magically still in the f*cking gate? Bungie wants to whine and cry and boo hoo about people figuring out how to cheese Crota? Tough shit! Fix your first raid and then you can get as teary eyed as you want about people cheesing him! Until then, stop your bitching!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sincerely, Someone who is fed the f*ck up with this game and the developer BS

  • Actually they're universal glitches that have been around since the vault opened. The quite is funny though, going to watch through those again.

  • If you have cheesed Crota you may have noticed that as the leader quits most damage you put into an enemy is totally negated during the disconnect. Just like the invincible praetorian. There is no doubt it is a network issue. Just like most the issues in the VOG. It's just impossible to tell wether or not it's a host issue or individual issue.

  • I was referring to being teleported as one person through the portal as well as being stuck in the gate despite walking through. That I've experienced personally and witnessed countless times with other folks who have insane connections. Invincible praetorians I've only encountered once.

  • They are all the same. What is the most obvious indication of lag in these sorts of games? Teleporting, warping, people moving without command. Now, think of it in reverse, the game is placing an individual to a random location based on nothing more than the amount of people registered on the server. If the game can't find any but the host or their is a delay in its execution (whereby the random placement has changed before the execution server side) you are likely to get these sorts of "glitches". Fair enough, the being teleported to 2 different planets should be able to be fixed/reduced by extending the amount of time it takes to register the random location but we do not know what else this could effect with regards to the overall script in the fight.

  • Fair point. My issue is that when these same issues are experienced by such a large portion of the player base and as consistently as they do, I'm inclined to think there's more to it than just a poor connection and that Bungie should be able to do something about it. The increasing the time to register people to send would be a start.

  • Only teleporting 1 person in the fireteam during the timestream event is not a lag issue - it is a code issue. It is literally the game choosing 1 person when the design intends for 3. The "fixed" this before when they made the decision by the game random instead of the people furthest back - they could fix this one as well but choose not to because such a design ruins a run rather than help it. If they start banning people for cheesing Crota, then what about all the people who cheesed the Templar, or Atheon?

  • To me that sounds as if the game only registered one person being in the fight. Or the other two intended teleports suffered packet loss.
