For about two months now, I've been getting 'error code: hare' at least once each day I played Destiny on my Xbox 360. According to Bungie's Help section, error code:hare is a "general networking error," which sound awfully vague. Frustrated by this error code, I did the following:
01. I followed the link to Bungie's "Network Troubleshooting Guide" webpage.
02. I followed the link to Xbox's "Network ports used by Xbox Live" webpage.
02. I accessed the settings for my xfinity Arris TG862G/CT modem and created Port Forwarding services for Ports 53, 80, 88, and 3074 late last night.
After logging back into Destiny, my gaming session ran smoothly for about 2 hours when I got 2 more hare error codes, so now I'm practically stumped. Any thoughts?

2 RepliesHi LordChocoSlime, Thank you for the detailed steps you took, it really is useful. It seems though, that you are currently port forwarding. We only recommend this in very specific scenarios and a HARE error is not one of them. In many cases we've found port forwarding can cause more trouble than it fixes. If possible, can I have you instead 'open' those ports? Alternatively, you may want to try UPnP settings on your modem.
