dont think you can crit on shielded enemies, not untill the shield drops atleast. and void damage would almost negate this weapon for use on all other shield types?

You can't but was thinking that the "crit effect" would cause double the damage to their shield somehow to remove it quicker. The void damage was put in thought of those Minotaurs lol Kinetic would be more balanced for the different shields. Should have put more thought behind it lol

lol I love the idea of an exotic designed around taking out shields. just some issues I thought you might want to look into.

Maybe it can ignore the shield all together? It is The Penetrator after all...lol The shield stays up and hp drops, others w/o the gun who help must take down the shied first.

could be. specially designed ammo that phases past the barrier and reforms either prior to striking the target or inside of the target.

Yeah. With more thought, a design could come out really well. I just hate those shields...
