Would you rather have intelligence or perpetual happiness?
No, picking intelligence does not mean perpetual depression.
Clarification: Choice 1 states that you will be happy for ever, as a function of who you are and your traits.
Choice 2 states that you will have intelligence, but will have to work for happiness.

Clarification: Choice 1 states that you will be happy for ever, as function of who you are and your traits. I would say happiness, because if your happy you may not find a need for intelligence But if your intelligent you could still have a longing for happiness... But who is to say that intelligence won't bring you happiness or that happiness may somehow lead you to becoming more intelligent...?
Good thing it's just hypothetical.
I've done/seen enough and learned enough..now unending happiness is something I could get on board with.

Intelligence gets you places. Happiness... Gets you stranded in an alleyway filming adult films after parading around New York looking for a new life :/

I'm actually smart enough to be happy. At least to me, I have nothing to complain about, I have it really good and I'm smart enough to see that, So I don't complain, I'm really happy I have a job, food in the morning, and a bed at night.

1 ReplyBeing happy all of the time can really make you dead. Fear is almost nonexistent.

1 Replythe problem with intelligence is that you know what you're capable of, but you know you will never achieve that goal in your lifetime. I would much rather be an idiot and be happy than be intelligent. because in my eyes if you're intelligent then you will never truly be happy. (just my opinion though)

Intelligence, because employers want to hire employees that are smart, they don't give a fuck if you're happy. They want to be able to do a task with f'ing it up.
