Bungie you have killed POCKET INFINITY... Why?
What have you done Bungie? I used to actually like pocket infinity. Now as soon as you charge it once it becomes useless. After one full charge the charge rate for the next charge, even after reload, is dramatically decreased. Well you might think great, fast charging = Fast kills... Oh no the damage per shot is almost halved. I was struggling to kill people with 5 shots at medium range. Its only use now is close range and then its still far worse than PLAN C or any shotgun. Just revert it back to what it was before, keeping the extended mag obviously.
You could argue that I'm a bad shot. But pre-patch I was able to pull of medium, even quite long range kills with it. Now I believe it effective range is about 10 meters which is awful.
Please comment if you actually like the change or if you think the same.

The word "broken" is used a lot around here. But this weapon really is broken. Deej already acknowledged it in another thread covering this issue, and said they're working on a fix. Translation -- put the game away until 2015.

2 Repliesactually it kinda wrecks in pve, and it stands about where it should be in pvp. can we just fix it so it works in pve and so it doesn't in pvp. it'd make the majority happy. just sayin'.

1 Replybro u are not a bad shooter..pocket infinity was the weapon i used more and i had very good results in close to mid range...with the new patch after the first reload u can kill only on a very close distance, mid-long range u don no damage and thats so dissapointing for this weapon comparing to other fusion rifles and the exotics buffs that were applied

1 ReplyIt's DEFINTELY a glitch, firing how it does now, don't get your panties in a wad. It's not resetting after you fire it, which is why it's auto charging immediately after for piddly damage. Most def just a glitch, they will fix it in a month or so relax lol.

2 RepliesHated it before, still hate it now. I never use mine anymore. Pulled it out after the patch, and the thing is just garbage for me. I always try for precision damage kills, so the full auto just destroys my aiming. By the third shot, I'm blasting 5 ft over the enemies head.

Well, my Pocket Infinity is going back in the vault again... This is one of the best -or rather was one of the best- fusion rifles in the game... Now a friggen blue or even a green fusion rifle can outdo it...

I can't even fully burst down a weak Vandal on venus patrol with my 300/300 Pocket Infinity, but my legendary fusion rifle can, and this is a big problem. Exotics > Legendary, so what happened Bungie?
