Since you suggested it, I got an idea for how to improve their deficiencies . . . do what they made everyone THINK they were going to do . . . problem solved. Do I still play? Yep. Do I find enjoyment? Yep. Do I blame others for being pissed? Not in the least. Is the game epic? No. Is it full of gimmicks to keep people playing because it's not actually the epic, content-full game they made it seem like it'd be? Oh yea. Or are they using the excuse that they want to gradually make it epic many years and monies later? HECK YEA! Capitalism baby!!
PhotoS999 spent $60 on the game, it's his right to point out where Bungie fell short for him (and comrades) and to rate that was being more important than where they got it right. That's part of critiquing. If a game's good can't overcome its bad, then the customer is allowed to rally a base if he or she chooses. The customer is not under any obligation to be grateful to the developer as if did him some great favor just putting the product out there. That's irrational. Plus, Bungie (who answers to Activision in the end) is only going to listen to what THEY want to listen to or what they're ALLOWED to listen to,, so why defend them? Their feelings aren't hurt. It was a huge commercial success . . . and that means they'll be doing it again sometime . . . with your support . . .

You missed the point... somehow entirely. I'm not defending Bungie in any way. The op came across as someone who cares about the game and wants it to be better. Rather than just be another recycled, useless whiny post, he or she could have been productive with his or her criticism. If you'd rather beat the drums for another unoriginal complaint, go for it. Of course no one is under any obligation to listen to me, but then I guess by your admission I have just as much right to post as I please.
