The only way I could see a basic story such as Destiny dragged on for another 9 years is if the tales of the Traveler had all been true...
For instance, in the Chamber of Night mission where we have to free a shard of the Traveler from leeching darkness... How could a shard of the traveler itself succumb to that small amount of darkness? thats what ive recently begun to question

That mission and others lack good storytelling quality, by simply leaving loose ends. I believe only by embracing this plot twist will Bungie revive their story.
