Not when all of the supers capable of bursting the WoD [b]always[/b] kill the occupants inside. If just the ward broke that would be one thing. But when the ward not only breaks but fails to protect those inside? That's another. Literally the only useful situation is to stop grenade or rocket spaming.

I'm just really glad the shield doesn't have a damage threshold or we'd all be -blam!-ed

It does, at least I've seen it in Pve. Its easy to spot if you throw it down on this weeks nightfall of front of that wizard wave on the door with 3 waves. I was busy putting on an ammo synthesizer when my bubble suddenly broke inexplicably early and wipe my party.
