It isn't true unfortunatley...getting a guarenteed faction shader at any specific rank is false...you can "potentially" get a shader by championing for a specific faction...might get it at level 10, maybe in level 3...more likely at level 100+...-_-

didn't even realise the ranks went beyond 3. I've just been moving on to a different faction after getting rank 3. done vanguard and dead orbit, and halfway through FWC now.

Yeah....I got 2 motes of light for hitting level ten with dead orbit. My buddy went level 10 then 15 on vanguard and got nothing special. Seems random to me

Only joined them cuz i read they will hook you up with the [b]super black[/b] shader making your char wearing all black. I want that shader so bad! And all of the other shaders i got thus far were totally random! (Beside those you could "earn" from the queens event / the iron banner event). Got my 1st random shader from the cryptard when i hit 22 (thunder devil), next at 30 (arctic proxy) and yet another one at 42 (substance 321). :/
