Being an Awoken breaks the lore of the game.
[b]TIMELINE:[/b]
Pre-GoldenAge, Traveler Discovery, Golden Age, Darkness Discovery, The Collapse, the after effects (Forming the Consensus, Building the City, ect.), Destiny I, The Future/Sequels.
Being an Awoken breaks the game. I know your attention span is about 10 minutes #Destiny, so I'll keep it brief.
In game lore fact: Your character died before the Traveler Discovery. This is implied and stated through quotes and the story (or lack thereof).
In game lore fact: The Awoken were created by the Collapse, after they tried to escape into space. This is stated by grimoire, promotions for the game, and many other things.
Rationalized Opinion: Your character, an Awoken who can channel the Travelers light, should not exist because the Awoken did not exist until after the Collapse. Think about it. Your character has to be "Pre-GoldenAge" and the Collapse does not occur until later down the timeline.
So, Bungie, you screwed up. Now what? We get it, Staten leaving leaves the story much to be desired. The one thing you should not do is ignore this.

I would imagine that being dead "for a very long time" would cause some memory loss to some degree. At some point, their mind would have started deteriorating. I mean, you never hear your character really talk about anything pre-revival that they remember. How do we know they even remember anything? Aside from combat abilities, which is the sole purpose of a guardian anyways.

Wait how did the collapse happened even before they discovered the traveler? Isnt the traveler the reason why the darkness found us therefore causing the collapse?

Lore realy? Their isnt amy story to begin with, they tried to add a story l last minute,r by throwing in exteral grimore cards, yoc can read on their website, but not in game.......

They never said that your character didn't die in the collapse. Maybe the awoken were subject to whatever changed them, Ghost came, revived them, but were still forever changed by the darkness.

There's Golden Age - Collapse - Post-Collapse. The Humans built the Exo during the Golden Age. Awoken were Humans that try to flee at the beginning of the collapse, but where changed somehow. Their ships may have crashed to earth and then that's when your ghost during the early post collapse revives you.

In a game that has time and space bending robots you would think it wouldn't matter where your character came from, especially when nothing is really explained in the game.

So the only real payable race is humans? Exos came from the traveler, so that would make them post golden age too.

Lore means theres a story .. Where is this story ? I personally would love to know as the thing we have now is some dumb -blam- . I have a firm suspision that is was activision that screwed up what destiny was aiming to be but thats just my personal belief .

Also, Awoken are meant to be all like allies or some shit. So when you turn up to the queen you get -blam!- by them are there comments

Oh really? I thought your character was dead after the collapse of the golden age i.e. your character knew of the traveler.

I've often wondered about the beginning of the story. You're in a car that was obviously destroyed with a mass of other vehicles. This indicates to me that you died during the collapse. If that's the case, you should know all about the traveler and the darkness. Maybe you have amnesia or something. Either way, it's a terrible story. I wish it was compelling in some way.

Actually there used to e multiple beginning cutscenes to the game. Different cutscenes for different races. The one that WE all have is the one originally provided to players that are exo. I don't know what the unique awoken or human Intros were but they scrapped them.

This doesn't have to mean 'since before the Golden Age' "You will see a lot of things you don't understand". Because you have been dead 'a long time'. Doesn't have to mean you were dead before the collapse.
