I guess we should be able to just jump down below the ledges too and browse the bottom. Maybe even add a secret passage that leads to a golden vex mytho with a penis shaped barrel

I wonder why?! It must be a conspiracy and they are hiding even more ways to kill these bosses "creatively".

The platforms were accessible and the gameplay testers \ Bungie had to know players would use them at some point. Those are not insta-kill zones. Only after the community at large, used an accessible area of the game as a way to creatively figure out how to beat the Templar, did Bungie decide it was "not how they wanted the community to play the game."
