That is not necessary, some people just can't get places we can. We have a guy in our clan who had his hands damaged in Iraq and he has tried literally hundreds of times to get his warlock across the megaman platform puzzle but he can't. So we elected him to just leave fire team, we open the door and wipe when he rejoins so he can be with us while we try to kill the last boss. I hope they never change that part of the raid.

Rejoining is different than just bringing in full parties to your existing checkpoint Should only be able to reach an area if you cleared the boss before it

They can't. You have to account for people who can't get it done in one sitting which is why the system was initially there.
