Dead people actually grow hair fairly fast.

Dead people don't actually grow hair etc, thier body dessicates as fluid leaves the body and the skin shrivels. the hair and nails appear to grow as the body shrinks around them. Old wives tales and such.

The cells usually take longer to die than the rest of the body too, so we are both right.
