They should go to the link below if all they care about is farming Vanguard Marks most effeciently. Not only is it faster but you also have a chance at getting Shards/Energy which you will need to level up the gear you intend to buy with those Marks.

But you don't get a chance of an exotic at the end. Riding around waiting for events is stupid. Strikes with possible legendary engrams and possible exotics at the end and marks and reputation and higher level enemies is way better than waiting for stupid events.
I liked events in Guild wars 3 but theres only 3 types in destiny and there few and far between, this is a huge social aspect which destiny is severly lacking atm.....
The Pub Events can be pretty entertaining at times when you have a large group of people doing them which has become more common now with sites like the one above telling you exactly what time to be there and where to go. A lot of times I'll see 3 or more people already waiting at the spot when I get there.
I did a few tonight on Mars and got one of the tanks from the other side of the map where you spawn in for the Strike and I drove it the long way around. I fixed that Event that spawns the guy with the near instant shield regen by just plowing him over lol.
