Class Specific Legendary Engrams!?!
Hey guys, Look, I enjoy the game immensely, I recommend it to every gamer I know, and I play it a lot. I have one problem, and it comes in a couple different ways. The reward system is a little too random. I understand that it should be a surprise or a challenge to get new items and gear, but... I find as though a lot of the time, I'm putting my all into a game mode or mission, and getting nothing for it. Another thing, and this is my big issue, These legendary engrams. Why are these not class specific? Why is there an added factor to getting a legendary item? I already find it difficult to find legendary engrams as is, plus, when I do get one and decode it, I'm mostly stuck with decent rare items. But, my problem was this: I got into a crucible match, played it well, and got a legendary helm engram. Excited, I rushed to the tower to decode it. When it unlocked, I got the legendary, Oblivion Helm. One issue, I'm a Hunter. That helm is for a Titan. Why? Why would I need that? Even upon selling it, I only get a few glimmer and some materials that I will never use. Why can't these be class specific? I would much rather go through decoding several legendary engrams, and only getting rare items, then finally decoding one which gives me a legendary item I can use, than just having it decode a different class item, and me feeling like I was cheated out of a legendary item. Can we please do something about that? Everything else about the game is great, I just want to feel as though my time on this game means something.

Edited by Rogue Shiftz: 9/19/2014 2:34:41 AMInstead of dismantling it you should have put it into your vault and started a Titan class, then when he gets lvl 20 he could use It. It's not worth dismantling legendary or higher tier things in my opinion.

The point is, I shouldn't have to play multiple characters. I don't NEED to play multiple characters. I'm simplistic. I will most likely play Hunter for most if not all of my destiny career. Why do people try to fight this? Make the engrams class specific. It benefits everyone.

Make other characters. Youll need them for the raids anyway. Everything is shared thru the cault so your second and third guardians have it a little easier with all their lvl20+ gear waiting for them

It is a good idea really. But to be honest you could always farm your rep like everyone else is doing. Plus with the legendary/rares I've gotten for other classes I can start a new class and have a head start at 20 which I think pretty rad.

3 RepliesIt should be class specific for legendary [b]AND EXOTIC[/b]. I don't know if it is like that for an exotic but I'd be pretty pissed if it wasn't lol

6 Replieslet me tell you my story... I am a Titan class. I have got 2 legendary armors for warlock 1 legendary armor for hunter AND 2 EXOTICS AMRORS for hunter Imagine how pissed I am... I'm sure there are people who have got it a lot worse Also... EVERY FREAKING purple weapon engram I have got has turned Into a stupid blue, coin, or mote of light. That's like out of. 5 Bungie I hope you see this and fix the rate, random class crap. And bring back green engrams.... Even if it is only like 25 or 50 reputation.

Totally agree I don't mind getting strange coins but getting rares just makes me go oh I got a legendary $5 it's going to be a rare lml and I'm a pve player so it's sucks at times but I hope bungie can and will tweak it just a little so its balanced.

Let's get people voting up on this, There is no reason that we cannot have class specific engrams! Let bungie know how the reward system is.

And as I've said. I'm content with my Hunter. I'm not interested in other classes. I don't need them shoving other classes on me. I play how I want to play. Engrams must be class specific.

And it's a way to make you play the other classes since your vault goes cross character

i think that the way they r doing it now is great but terrible, keeps fro getting too good too fast but at the same time i want to get good fast so i can do the damn raid
