VLC Media Player (with dubious add-on pack)

Corelsoft WinDVD 13

Never heard of these guys before but supposedly they're the only way to watch bd on computer. Supposedly they add trojan-like bloatware/adware. And they list win 8 compatibility but does that mean 8.1 compatible?
