This has probably been asked, but can't find the answer. I know you can transfer your character to the next gen but what about going back? Asking because I have friends on both.

Don't assume it as a definite yes, but they said something along the line of "we want the world to be living, and your character is a part of that. To keep your character with you everywhere you go (except Xbox-Playstation gap)"

Your character will be able to go foward to sequels, at least they are planning for it right now.
