Because it turned every match into a DMR spam fest and made all other weapons like the BR and Carbine obsolete.

Too efficient at long range

-Deals too much damage against vehicles for a spawn weapon -Has the farthest zoom(3x)out of any spawning precision weapon. Every other precision weapon that's not a Sniper Rifle has 2x zoom. - Way too accurate and killed map flow in BTB in Reach and Halo 4 - Pretty much dominates every other spawning weapons.
