There is a little room for debate on where exactly the industry began, some would place it's beginnings with Computer Space in 1971, others would place it in 1962 with Steve Russell's Space War for the PDP-1 and some might even go back to William Higinbotham and his Tennis For Two back in 1958, but it's certainly where the popularisation of the industry began.
