I live in Connecticut which is EDT time zone. So will the beta start 3 hours later since deej said 10 am PDT? Or will it start at 10 am for me too?

It will start at 1 PM EDT if you live on the East coast. At that same time, it will be 10 AM PDT. So no, it won't start late. Or, if you want to look at it another way, it will start late for you but it will end early for everyone else while you'd still be able to play.
