Windows Phone 8(i mean win10 universal app) Companion App Request Please
Its officially been a year now guys and girls.
Bungie doesnt give a flying -blam!-

Just wanted there to be a thread so Bungie can see there actually are people on here that use a Windows Phone. Its not as uncommon as youd think and im certain its well within Bungies capabilities to produce an app for Windows Phone 8. (Even Rockstar did it albeit late)
Whats even better is with cross compatible apps, any app on Windows Phone can be downloaded and work flawlessly on the windows 8.1 app store so people with surface tablets (or any windows 8 tablets) can use it too.
Help all of us become the guardians you want us to be (not just the major market share).

Until Bungie decide to release a companion app, a legend from these forums has taken upon the task of bringing an app for us windows phone users to enjoy.

Windows 8.1 or 10. Come on bungie get the job done. To many Xbox players have windows phone to exclude them from this.

I would also like to see a WP app. I'm currently on Android, but I'm considering switching after all of the recent amazing Windows 10 and Xbox announcements.

Downloaded the app, it's rather well polished. Of course some additional features would be nice, but I'm glad to have an app. Props.

+1 again Destiny Stats is nice and all, but as bungie is releasing a game for MSs consoles - i can not quite understand the lack of a WP version. It's totaly unusual that customers tend to use stuff that is in the one eco system, huh? PLUS On Top: With "Universal Apps" Introduced that can render the same app powered by HTML5 on Phones, Tablets AND PCs with one code and minor UI Tweaks for display resulution reasons... i find this lack of support disturbing.

1 ReplyCould someone explain what features I am missing within Destiny since I do not use an Android or iPhone (iOS) device. Are there aspects to the Destiny Game that I am missing out on? I would definitely use and love to have a Windows Phone app that complements the Destiny game or Bungie.net. Can I ask an uneasy question that I know is out there… Is Bungie purposely denying us a windows phone app because of their former and current relationship with Microsoft?

Glad someone started this. I would love a companion app for Windows Phone as well. It's sorely missing. I understand the market share of WP is not as high as Apple or Android yet, but given that the integration of WP with XBOX 360 and XBOne, it seems like it would be an appropriate offering.

However if there are large volumes of windows phone users playing destiny who want access to the the app it would only make sense for Bungie to oblige.

I like the unnoficial but I really want the official version!!! C'mon Bungie, you earn 500 million for a game, less than 50.000 u could make an awesome app for Windows Phone.

I would like a companion app. I know WP has a minority of market share. But the more qualiy apps that are developed the more likely it will become a greater competitor. Bungie, please develop an app for your loyal fans. We all want to become legend no matter our phone is. -Dan
