Higurashi: When they cry. Is a good horror anime. Or one of my fav horror video games: Corpse Party. It has 4 OVAs that are very gruesome. As for comedy: Daily lives of High School Boys.

You could try out Yamishibai if you're looking for horror. You could try out Welcome to the NHK if you haven't seen it already for comedy and depression.

For comedy Good luck Girl or Nichijiou. For horror Corpse Party. I would reccommend Fate/Zero, Baccano (dub), or Eden of the East.
