That's precisely what I don't understand. Even if someone is completely against talking with people near them, they should realize that this is optional and just vote "yes," because it's what the majority wants.

In pubs, proxy chat would be great. In private/competitive games, I don't think it should be allowed. They should give people the option to turn it off in those games.
