It's the WW3 Draft
Your Govt feels the need to beef up its military more and has created a (or another) draft lottery to recruit some new bloods. They're throwing all 12 months in a spin wheel and mixing it up, picking 2 random months out of the year for every person born between the years of 1990-1997. If your birthdate falls into that month, you're chosen; they assume the war will last at least 4 years so they plan to do the lottery every 4-6 months. I will update this every period.
So, are you safe?

Anyone who saw the draft coming and was smart about it would voluntarily join. Drafts are used to fill voids in the ranks, and the first voids are always infantry.
