I've heard before that it's basically for forbidden to ever date a friends ex. Even moreso if you're really close.
However, I want to know what you guys think of this.
Do you think it's ever acceptable for someone to date their friends ex? Are there any specific rules you'd consider? Example, if your friend was the one who broke up with her for his reasons.
Personally, I don't think there should be an issue if enough time has passed and the circumstances for the break up weren't awful. For instance, if my friend broke up with a girl because he wanted his freedom, there shouldn't be an issue with another friend pursuing a relationship with her. However, if my friend broke up with a girl because she cheated on him and really hurt him, then I don't think a relationship should be pursued.
Your thoughts? I'd put a poll in but polls are dumd

I had this issue too and for awhile I said I wasn't going to because bro code or whatever reason. However I've changed my mind, and realised that it doesn't matter. Your friend and their ex had a chance, if they were meant for each other they would still be together. Just don't bring her around your friend, or rub it in his face.

1 ReplyOnly if you were already banging her before she became his ex.

1 ReplyThat would be between that person, their friend, and the ex. Not everyone is the same, especially when it comes to relationships.

I honestly see nothing wrong with it, to be honest.

1 ReplyAbsolutely not. There are plenty of fish in the sea. Why do you have to go for that one?

Not unless he says it's okay. If you date a friend's ex without making sure it's okay, you'd be an asshole.

If a chick and I are in love, I'm not going to let some bullshit social stigma tell me it's not allowed.

My personal policy is it has to be a close friend or family member and they had to be dating for a year or more, otherwise I don't care.
