Microsoft Purchased Nokia and its patents for $7b
Now Microsoft has its own mobile division to supplement its tablet/pc and gaming division.
Does anyone else notice the obvious transition of microsoft from a software company to a devices and entertainment company?
Theyre playing it smart and taking a page out of apples book. I expect higher quality devices being released from microsoft within a couple of years and complete synergy between microsofts many devices now (windows 8, windows pone 8, xbox services).

They bought Nokia for the secrets to their reactive armor that the put in their phones. Microsoft got lucky and bid more than the US DoD.
