Swimming?
Am I the only person hoping for the ability to swim in Destiny? I always hated drowning immediately after hitting the water in the Halo games. Not being able to swim in video games has always seemed a idiotic way of forcing a player to stay in a specific area and since this is open world I can't see how we wouldn't be able too.

1 ReplyPersonally I'm not a fan, its usually slow... painfully slow And you are unable to do anything until you reach land again, [b]However[/b] I think it should be implemented as let's face it (pretending armour and weapon weight is no issue) humans can swim (on that note would an exo be way too heavy anyway?) so why should we not be able to in the future? Just because I don't like this, this is something useful and fitting (unlike cat ears) that would increase the quality o the game.

1 Replythey usually put in something stupid to prevent us from going in the water like, its poisoned or acid. worst of all a monster is in it that will eat you the second you enter it

Considering how the Earth is 2/3 water, and that lakes and ponds were prevalent in the trailers, I assume we will.

I really would love to see swimming and water added into this game, there were some raids in WoW where you had to swim underwater with your friends to find the temple entrances. It was an experience like no other!!!!

Hopefully it will be there. I'd like to submerge and explore the ocean some (finding Atlantis anyone?).

I hope there is at least some realism to this. Instant death in water was always so lame. If there is a breath meter or even that you feel sluggish and if your head goes under (being all armored up) you will drown. Just anything more than instadeath and I'll be happy.

I hope there is swimming and you can also swim underwater. It does my head in when in mmo's you hit the water and can't swim under water to look you items or under water entrances to places. Here is hoping that we can explore everywhere on the surface of a questing zone including underwater

1 ReplyYou're not alone. It's been talked about on the forum and it's something a lot of people want. On a side note after getting the water boots in Skyrim a little space magic that pulls that off would be fun as well in Destiny.
