Why to girls like hugs?
My lady friends always want to hug me. And I always see them hug each other. Why?

Because they embracing of another human with their arms stretched out around you is a very comforting, and reassuring, thing, and for that moment you feel all is right in the world.

My guess is it makes them feel secure. When we were babies we probably felt the most safe in a parent's arms, so hugs give us a similar sense of security. I have no scientific evidence to back this up, so take it with a grain of salt.
