Overrated Artists?
In your opinion, What are some of the most overrated artists of all time?
Mine are:
1.Guns 'n' Roses: Got a greatest hits album and now it's been wiped.
2.Kiss: Odd good song but 1% Substance 99% Image.
3.Nirvana:Yes, they were good. But the best band of the 90s? Nope.
4.Green Day:A couple of good albums followed by a slow decent into the shitter.
5.Taylor Swift: Actually she's decent, But she is not worthy of 100 million records...

Rock is a pretty shitty genre no matter which way you turn it.

I'm going to avoid people like Nicki Minaj, Lil Wayne, and Skrillex (etc) because almost nobody I know actually takes them seriously. Drake - I don't see why he people like him so much. Ratatat - Not [i]everything[/i] they do is godly. Alt J - See opinion on Ratatat Modest Mouse - See "" "" Decemberists - "" "" "" I'm starting to hate that I just hate enthusiasm. Oh dear.

Lil' Wayne (self-explanatory) Metallica (most of their music is plagued by 'chugging') Guns 'n' Roses (they were great but not THAT great) The Black Eyed Peas (just terrible)

Sweet Child O' Mine Paradise City Don't Cry Knocking on Heaven's Door (yes I know it's a cover but it's the best version of this song hands down) November Rain Patience Welcome to the Jungle Civil War Not to mention they covered a Beatles song and it A) Did not suck and B) was debatably better than the original.
