Tips for video editing/uploading?

I want to play some old games and upload them to Youtube. I am currently using Bandicam/Movie Maker to do so. This is not for profit, just for fun, so I'm not trying to become a "Youtube celebrity" or anything. I would prefer a ten minute video e.g. be less than 300MB (I have a data allowance). I would still like the videos to be 720p capable. Do you have any tips for quality? Provided everything is free and trustworthy. Anything I should know?

 • AVS Video Remaker is what I use when I just want to cut a small clip out without losing quality/increasing file size. But it's not accurate, it only splits on keyframes.
