With Destiny 2 fully supporting cross-play, it is time to bring native Keyboard and Mouse support to the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S versions of the game. The Tiger Engine already handles KBM beautifully on PC, and modern consoles natively support these peripherals at a hardware level. Adding this feature would dramatically improve accessibility for players who cannot comfortably use a standard controller, while also allowing console players to seamlessly join their PC friends in the high-tier PvE sandbox without feeling at a mechanical disadvantage. To keep the competitive environment fair, Bungie could easily mirror the matchmaking system used by other modern shooters. Players who plug in a mouse would simply be sorted into the PC matchmaking pool for PvP activities like the Crucible and Trials of Osiris, leaving the console controller pool completely unaffected. This minor quality-of-life update would give players more freedom in how they choose to play, modernize the console experience, and make the game more inclusive for the entire community.
