Problem I have created a new application in the Bungie Application Portal and I am unable to complete the OAuth authorization flow. The application is currently set to Public, the OAuth Client Type is Public, and the API key shows as Active. The authorization request contains: client_id response_type=code state It does not contain scope or redirect_uri. What happens I open the OAuth Authorization URL. Bungie asks me to authenticate through PlayStation/Sony. The Sony authentication completes successfully. I am returned to Bungie. Bungie then displays: “Authorization query string parameters are not valid.” Troubleshooting already performed Tested in both Vivaldi and Google Chrome. Tested after signing completely out of Bungie first. Confirmed the API key is Active. Changed the application from Private to Public and waited for the change to propagate. Created/tested a second active API key. Most importantly, I tested the OAuth Authorization URL generated directly by the Bungie Application Portal, without using my own application. The same failure occurs after successful Sony/PlayStation authentication. My Bungie/PlayStation account can authenticate successfully with Destiny Item Manager (DIM). Because the Bungie-generated OAuth Authorization URL produces the same error, I am unsure whether there is an issue with my application registration or with the OAuth handoff after PlayStation authentication. Any advice on what I should check next would be appreciated.
