I am attempting to set up Cross Save to share my Steam characters to PlayStation, but the setup is blocked at Step 1 (Authentication). However, that Microsoft account was permanently closed due to identity theft over a year ago. Because Microsoft completely purges accounts after their standard recovery window, logging in or recovering credentials for that account is impossible. The same goes for Epic Games. In my account settings, game platform unlinking is permanently disabled ("Game platforms cannot be unlinked after linking is complete"), so I cannot remove the dead Microsoft link myself. This creates an unresolvable catch-22: The closed Microsoft account cannot be authenticated because it no longer exists on Microsoft's servers. The closed Microsoft account cannot be unlinked via self-service settings. The same for Epic games. Is there any way for player support or an admin to manually unlink or drop this dead Microsoft account from my Bungie profile so I can complete Cross Save authentication for my active accounts? Or can Bungie active cross save on my platform for only Steam and PlayStation which can be authenticated?
