No they didn't. They ended development because the game is old, has a low population, and they're busy making at least two new games. They will come back to Destiny (they confirmed this), but Destiny 2 is finished. Nothing wrong with this, and it was going to happen sooner or later. Bungie did the same with Halo, they left it to pursue new worlds. Bungie don't like to be stuck with the same franchise forever. Also, people should remember the original plan for Destiny was 10 years which we got.
