When I play pvp (Comp, Control and even Trials) and I still see players with power level lower then 500, then I know that they are mostly invincible, before the match even starts.
Can someome please explain who those players are? They mostly have good emblems and weapons, but their power is like 364.
Even if they only play pvp, their power should be around 550.
Why are they invincible? Special mods, hacks, connection?

Right now there are supposedly around 1600 players in Control, that's to say well over 100 different matches going on in their various stages; how come I get matched with that guy day in day out, over and over again?

Edited by NotCreative123: 5/11/2026 3:08:04 PMUm, because I am trying a new weapon that hasn't been infused, and Power doesn't matter in PVP? Trust me, if a low light level made me invincible, I promise I'd be 10 Power

1 ReplyCrazy how I can come have a peek at the forums years later and still see the same faces screaming into the void 😂

Same reason why a lvl 55 prestiged zero player on cod can smoke a 10th prestiged guy.

Edited by 《《 ⒻⒶⒶⒷ 》》: 5/11/2026 11:15:17 AMBecause they dont care about levelling up. Power level only matters in pve. And they find pve boring And no, it does not impact matchmaking

Because the game is dead and I haven’t even played let alone payed for the new dlc yet because whats the point. So I play what I used to love (pvp) just once or twice a week now

2 RepliesCheck how old their profiles are; a lot of them are rather newish, if not brand new.

6 RepliesBecause PvP doenst care about light lvl. So why bother. And destiny’s pvp is free to play. So why care about it

Creapure®Layoffs coming 31st July 2026...... 👀 - old
There's a lot of people who only play PvP, or have only played PvP for a long time, or people who are returning after years, they're usually low guardian ranks but seals like unbroken etc -
2 RepliesCause they don’t play pve . Surprising still the same people are still playing control full time ?!

Edited by Golden: 5/10/2026 11:55:39 PMBecause older weapons aren’t in the tiered system and at 10 light. My last word is still at 10 light lol
