This is kind of a post for Bungie and the Forum.
Its been few days since the event launched... the new weapons.. activities... other stuff you may be interested in... (there is a player number spike)
...and today it hits me as I review my vault.., inspired by the new weapons that its showing me some synergies I had not truly thought of and this event > this free event has enhanced the value of something I've paid for with Trials and Renegades... I'm connecting the dots on more builds I want to try in PVE and PVP.
For example in PVP:
inspired by the spreadshot... new demotic + shrewd survivor + spreadshot with slide...etc.
For example in PVE:
inspired by the forum and the fusion for actual ignition type builds which I have not ever done
My #1 point is that... this game is good. It needs these free events that are the heart of live service games... even if it brings folks together to complain it is work that has been done to try to enliven this world... and lets you continue to enjoy your own personal journey in the game.
My #2 point I'd like to propose is mostly to the forum - to detach Destiny from Bungie in your minds. Don't blame the game (Destiny) for grievances or that background ugly feelings toward a developer. To some extent the game is art for us to enjoy independently (in the eye of the beholder)... I find there are still many paths to go down to enjoy this game from that viewpoint...
