Hello there, Thank you for reaching out. Yes – this is a known issue tied to the new Magic: The Gathering armor ornaments on PC (especially Steam). Having those ornaments applied on a character can cause a crash right before or at the character select screen. A backend mitigation has been rolled out, but a few players can still get stuck in a bad state. Since clearing Steam’s download cache doesn’t touch the root cause, the most reliable workaround right now is to remove those ornaments from the affected character using an external tool: From a companion app / item manager (on phone or web) Use the Destiny Companion app or a third-party manager like Destiny Item Manager (DIM). On the crashing character, unequip the MTG armor ornaments (or swap to different armor pieces/ornaments in those slots). Fully close and relaunch Destiny 2 and try loading into that character again. If you also play on another platform with cross-save Log in on the other platform (where it doesn’t crash), remove the MTG ornaments there, then come back to PC.
