I was playing earlier and I found myself bored with the portal. I understand that it is a source for leveling and exotics you missed but I am bored. I thought of some things that might help. 1. Patrols are soulless so I think of world bosses that drop specific loot. High health pools no mechanics just spawn in head to the location and dps that boss until it dies no immune phases. 2. Dedicated sources for loot. World drops are okay but having a specific spot to go get the guns and armor you want without have to put together a team or matchmake is positive for everyone. Raids have their loot that you can only get from a raid but what if spare rations dropped from that patrol boss I was talking about and you could go to the cosmodrome and for some glimmer you could spawn in a hive ogre kill him get a spare rations and if you don't like the roll you pay more glimmer and try again. 3. Energy weapons have the chance to come in any element 4. Exotic focusing is cool as well as the quest for them but rather than going to the kiosk to by them give them dedicated loot sources we can even put on on the boss that drops that spare rations 5. Endgame should be for testing builds and conquering the hardest content in the game. 6. Vangaurd trials is an idea like strikes but with no mechanics just run in and kill the enemies then kill the boss the faster you are the more loot you get(no modifiers just health and damage of enemies is increased) you have to build you character specifically for it. 7. Raid bosses ( imagine dropping into patrol and you spot a hive ritual taking place you want to stop it but you think to yourself what are they summoning so you let the ritual continue and they summon a powerful warrior of hive legend and you and random group of guardians fight and it drops a specific weapon or piece of armor that looks so cool that sit in patrol and wait for the next ritual to take place) raid bosses have high health and only the most powerful guardians can survive. This just some ideas because I hate the portal and it needs to go Im curious to see the thoughts on this and how many would like to see these ideas in game
