My notes on “The Meta”

“Meta Loadouts,” another team for “Lightsaber.” Most times, another term for, “Prismatic Lightsaber.” My problem is that people think Lightsabers are DPS weapons, and they’re not, they’re better for Ad Clear. That includes Champions. For context, Ultimate difficulty or higher. These days the Strikes are more challenging than the Raids by a lot. The Prismatic Lightsaber builds are certainly useful (although it’s notable to mention their lack of damage at a distance) but a good final boss won’t let you use swords on them, making them good Ad Clear roles, but not the best. Don’t think of the Raids or Dungeon bosses, their difficulty level is currently not up to par. Instead think of the Battleground Behemoth boss, for example. That boss is a ground boss, yet has a one shot slam. The problem is there are better options, many better options, for DPS. That’s why they’re better elsewhere, while someone dedicated to primary DPS can focus all their fire. Pris. Lightsabers are decent Ad Clear, much like Stasis Titan, although I’d say Stasis Titan is much better due to its infinite energy and higher total damage. Stasis Titan actually has a positive ability energy output, unbelievable. People play Prismatic builds like they’re the only player in the world, and it works to an extent, that’s why they’re good for solo play. However a coordinated Fireteam can beat a “Meta Loadout” Fireteam without doubt. Especially with the, “one loadout for each, one Fireteam (and Raid team) for all” mindset. A collection of the perfect loadouts to tackle everything in the game at the highest difficulty… Soon to be possible, once the “Grandmaster Vanguard Alert Difficulty” gets put into every Vanguard Portal Activity and later, the Raids and Dungeons.
