Just tried to solo GM Vanguard EDZ.
I mean you people actually find this crap fun? You enjoy shooting enemies that take no DMG, heal, and have shields that seem to never break and are backed with an over shield nonstop?
I don't see the enjoyment.
I don't see the appeal in trying for a t5 Horror's Leastb in an unenjoyable nonsensically difficult playlist.
Bungie you got your whole being up your tuckus.

88 RepliesThe OP is about to get absolutely piled on for this thread — “it’s three-man content,” “stop whining,” “get better,” the usual tired nonsense. And sure, if someone was trying to brute-force it with a trash build and half the recommended light level, I’d agree. But that’s not what this is. When players have done the mandatory grind, hit the cap, farmed the rolls, optimized their builds, and are running the best gear the game has to offer — then yes, any content in the game should be achievable. Not free. Not easy. Not brain-dead. But achievable through skill and execution — not artificially walled off. Instead, Bungie’s design philosophy seems to be: no matter how much you grind, you’re still weak. Power caps, scaling, forced deltas — it all ensures that you never actually feel powerful. You just feel temporarily less handicapped. What’s the point of chasing loot if you’re permanently underpowered? What’s the point of “endgame gear” if the endgame still treats you like you just logged in yesterday? Challenge is good. Artificial suppression isn’t. There’s a difference between “this is hard” and “the system is designed so you can never outgrow it.” If grinding for the best possible loadout still leaves you feeling weak, then the loot treadmill stops being rewarding — what is the point? And when progression feels meaningless, players don’t stay motivated. They just leave.

Imagine killing like 12 enemies then rage quitting because you died to something (probably a drop pod) and then go raging on the forums.

Just use Lfg Guardian...

Edited by Sen: 2/22/2026 6:05:50 PMYou're trying to solo one of the hardest difficulties in this game since it's inception.... and complaining it's too hard? This is what fireteam finder is for. It's meant for 3 players and soloing a gm isn't the norm and never has been.

Edited by NerfPaladins06: 2/23/2026 4:07:51 AMI don't have the problem with GM enemies being too tanky because I'm fairly average at the game, not bad at it. You tried once, died, and left 🤣

41 RepliesYep, can't agree more. The latest update in EoF and on has been nothing but a detriment to Destiny the game as a whole.

Edited by Obelix: 2/23/2026 10:34:21 PMThat GM is tougher, you either know exactly how to manoeuvre each arena and encounter, or you most likely won’t finish it. A lot of people know how to handle Overload champ in the meatball arena. Personally, Fortunes Favor with 200 weapons, Choir and a pulse with Opening Salvo have worked very well for me.

Edited by Franco-Nevada: 2/23/2026 10:01:29 PMTook me 3 or 4 groups before I found two guys who were competent enough to clear that one. Even then it took us three tries. Definitely not the sort of thing most people can solo. For instance, you are going to have a heck of a time trying to take out those overload champs on top of the pillars. Took all three of us focusing on them one at a time to clear those out.

I don't see the enjoyment. I don't see the appeal in trying for a t5 Horror's Leastb in an unenjoyable nonsensically difficult playlist.
You also don't seem to grasp the concept of playing a specific activity for specific loot nor that some activities require fireteams. Instead of finding people to play with you are constantly on the forums crying about wanting to get all loot solo - including making raid exotics purchasable with bright dust cause you cba to put the tiniest bit of effort in but feel entitled to all the loot. Bungie constantly catering to players like you who want to treat a multiplayer online game like a single player game but think they deserve access to endgame loot is what brought us here.

Yes, actually I found that one specifically, to be very fun to solo. I didn't do it for any of the loot tho.. so perhaps that's why I found enjoyment
-
Why are you trying to solo one of the most difficult pieces of content the game has to offer?
-
Just play the activities you enjoy, that’s what I do. There’s not much point diving into the challenging content if you don’t enjoy it (I don’t).
-
Horrors least is still a thing, yikes
-
2 RepliesIf you don’t like it then don’t play it and stop moaning!
-
I mean... The activity is meant for a fireteam of 3. If you ran it solo is because you wanted the challenge. 🤔

It’s not rocket science.

I find tougher content fun at times but I spend most of my d2 time nowadays doin oob exploration or sparrow tech. Adds a lot more to the game that just the grind. Yesterday my buddy and I got to Galaxy pools from the arms dealer strike... Ppl that joined were able to spawn into galaxy pools and experience it for probably their first and maybe last time. Lots of grateful guardians. Just gotta know when to take breaks from the portal grind and experience parts of destiny that are still enjoyable to you (if there are any)
